My motto to teaching is "Never give up".

What I mean by this is that I think we can always find a way to motivate and help students

Who sometimes feel that they just want to give up?

Now coming into my 20th year of teaching I hope that I have mastered the patience and nurturing of students, although I feel we can always keep our minds open to learn more.

After teaching in Italy and picking up the language easily I have always struggled with the Czech language, although I do try every day. I think this gives me a perspective of how the students can find English language difficult and how a range of methods are needed for each student.

There is no bigger satisfaction when the school year ends to see that a students has progressed and maybe you were in some slight way, partially responsible for that.
